Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were REN (LS:RENE), which rose 0.72% or 0.0180 points to trade at 2.5220 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 0.67% or 0.0200 points to end at 2.9940 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.35% or 0.0550 points to 15.9550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 5.29% or 0.2150 points to trade at 3.8500 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.68% or 0.0900 points to end at 5.2800 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 1.64% or 0.180 points to 10.820.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.72% or 0.49 to $67.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.08% or 0.67 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1321.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.2046, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 91.69.
