Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 3.19% or 0.5200 points to trade at 16.8200 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 1.13% or 0.0340 points to end at 3.0400 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was up 1.04% or 0.1700 points to 16.5150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.58% or 0.0064 points to trade at 0.2415 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.55% or 0.0510 points to end at 3.2340 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) shed 0.58% or 0.075 points to 12.905.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.67% or 0.93 to $56.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.68% or 1.33 to hit $50.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 8.26 to trade at $1293.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1800, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 93.10.
