Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA), which rose 4.00% or 0.129 points to trade at 3.351 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.35% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.2180 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 2.17% or 0.0570 points to 2.6850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.18% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.2520 in late trade. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 0.93% or 0.135 points to end at 14.400 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) shed 0.84% or 0.0590 points to 6.9510.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $53.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.17 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.14 to trade at $1253.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.1185, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8626.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 97.24.
