Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 11.54% or 0.0202 points to trade at 0.1952 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 4.55% or 0.1640 points to end at 3.7680 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.45% or 0.3400 points to 14.2000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 8.28% or 0.1500 points to trade at 1.6620 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 0.92% or 0.0600 points to end at 6.4700 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 0.83% or 0.1200 points to 14.2850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 15 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.17% or 0.10 to $60.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $51.49 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 5.90 to trade at $1225.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.1334, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 96.982.
