Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 2.73% or 0.1140 points to trade at 4.2880 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.33% or 0.0500 points to end at 2.1950 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.05% or 0.1800 points to 17.2800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 0.56% or 0.0010 points to trade at 0.1786 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 0.36% or 0.0300 points to end at 8.3300 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) shed 0.28% or 0.0025 points to 0.9025.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.48% or 0.39 to $81.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.64% or 0.46 to hit $72.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 11.10 to trade at $1188.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.1680, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 94.38.
