Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 5.55% or 0.1710 points to trade at 3.2500 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.64% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.3100 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was up 1.35% or 0.040 points to 3.010 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 1.37% or 0.165 points to trade at 11.905 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.11% or 0.1850 points to end at 16.5000 and REN (LS:RENE) shed 0.96% or 0.0240 points to 2.4650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.22% or 0.14 to $62.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.31% or 0.18 to hit $57.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 10.65 to trade at $1271.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1890, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.06.
