Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 3.04% or 0.0850 points to trade at 2.8850 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.51% or 0.0480 points to end at 3.2280 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 1.01% or 0.0900 points to 8.9700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which lost 0.98% or 0.100 points to trade at 10.100 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.92% or 0.1650 points to end at 17.7300 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 0.50% or 0.1000 points to 20.0500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $72.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $66.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1220.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1560, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8996.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 95.26.
