Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 5.35% or 0.1460 points to trade at 2.8770 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.87% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.3270 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 1.45% or 0.0540 points to 3.7890 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which lost 0.90% or 0.1300 points to trade at 14.2550 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 0.87% or 0.1450 points to end at 16.4500 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.66% or 0.0350 points to 5.2740.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $55.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.43 to trade at $1327.87 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1956, while EUR/GBP fell 0.97% to 0.8810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 91.80.
