Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Media and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which rose 4.77% or 0.60 points to trade at 13.19 at the close. Meanwhile, CCC SA (WA:CCCP) added 3.73% or 5.85 points to end at 162.85 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) was up 1.77% or 2.75 points to 157.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OrangePL (WA:OPL), which fell 3.83% or 0.29 points to trade at 7.29 at the close. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 1.36% or 105.00 points to end at 7590.00 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) was down 0.76% or 0.05 points to 6.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 276 to 265 and 115 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.00% or 0.45 to $45.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $48.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.00 to trade at $1145.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.13% to 4.2298, while USD/PLN rose 0.45% to 3.7772.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 96.39.
