Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Construction and Developers sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 2.37% or 2.02 points to trade at 87.12 at the close. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) added 1.42% or 1.40 points to end at 100.00 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 1.32% or 0.030 points to 2.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which lost 6.16% or 11.25 points to trade at 171.35 in late trade. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 4.08% or 8.10 points to end at 190.50 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) shed 3.89% or 4.35 points to 107.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 319 to 166 and 173 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.71% or 0.88 to $50.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.71% or 0.43 to hit $59.85 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.80 to trade at $1247.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.25% to 4.2817, while USD/PLN fell 0.58% to 3.7746.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 96.618.
