INFLATION PLCPYF=ECI

The statistics office is due to publish a first reading of September consumer inflation at 1200 GMT. ECONPL

DEBT SUPPLY

The finance ministry is expected to publish its debt supply plan for October and the third quarter at 1300 GMT.

COAL PDZ.AX

The environment ministry sees an urgent need for building a coal mine in the southeast of Poland, but questions the credibility of Prairie Mining PDZ.AX , a mining firm which plans to invest in the region, Parkiet daily said quoting the ministry statement.

PGE PGE.WA , EDF EDF.PA

Poland's biggest energy firm PGE PGE.WA has offered to sell more electricity via the power exchange in order to get the anti-monopoly office's approval to buy France's EDF EDF.PA local power and heating assets, Parkiet daily quoting unnamed sources.

TAXES

The government is working on changes in taxes and other regulations that would reduce red-tape and boost financial liquidity for small and medium companies, Puls Biznesu daily said.

GAS TARIFF

Poland will abandon gas tariffs for the biggest customers starting Oct. 1 this year, while households will pay for gas at regulated prices by 2023, Gazeta Wyborcza daily said.
