MOVIES

The number of cinema goers in Poland rose by 7.7 percent year on year in the first quarter, Rzeczpospolita daily said citing Boxoffice.pl data.

ROADS

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) may end contracts with two Italian firms - Impresa Pizzarotti and Salini Impregilio at the end of this week, Rzeczpospolita daily said, referring to a notice sent to the companies on March 16.

PRAIRIE MINING PDZ.AX , BOGDANKA LWBP.WA

Polish miner Bogdanka may be granted a concession in a mining area where Australia's Prairie Mining has planned to build a mine, after an appeal court lifted an injunction granted to Prairie on a civil law claim related to concessions for Jan Karski mine, Parkiet daily said.

5G

Poland will have at least one city with a 5G network in 2020, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily quoted the digitalisation minister as saying.

WIND FARMS

Not a single wind farm was built in Poland last year and due to weather conditions power production from wind farms fell to 2014 levels, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily said, quoting Forum Energii think tank data.
