Investing.com -- Pinterest Inc (NYSE:PINS) and WooCommerce announced a strategic partnership on Wednesday.
Pinterest will offer a WooCommerce extension on its platform that allows mutual merchants to offer Pinterest shopping functionality from their accounts.
It means more than 3 million WooCommerce customers will be able to connect with Pinterest's 400 million monthly users.
According to Pinterest, 97% of top searches are unbranded through its platform, with users spending two times more on purchases than on other platforms. Therefore, WooCommerce retailers may integrate their product catalogs by creating or connecting Pinterest for business accounts.
Users will have the ability to evaluate conversions on their Pinterest ads and optimize these ads for retargeting by installing the Pinterest tag.

Pinterest shares gained 1.76% Wednesday.
