Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC), which rose 3.40% or 4.70 points to trade at 143.00 at the close. PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) added 2.08% or 28.00 points to end at 1375.00 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was up 1.90% or 0.400 points to 21.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which lost 2.80% or 2.550 points to trade at 88.450 in late trade. Ayala Corp (PS:AC) declined 2.48% or 25.00 points to end at 985.00 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) shed 2.48% or 0.440 points to 17.280.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 86 and 51 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.50 to $1215.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.18% or 0.12 to hit $66.69 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.10 to trade at $71.97 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.31% to 7.7538, while USD/PHP rose 0.07% to 53.134.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 95.95.
