Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Property, Services and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS), which rose 3.60% or 2.500 points to trade at 72.000 at the close. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 2.97% or 4.90 points to end at 169.90 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was up 2.04% or 4.80 points to 240.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI), which lost 1.47% or 0.200 points to trade at 13.400 in late trade. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 1.42% or 0.070 points to end at 4.850 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) shed 1.31% or 15.00 points to 1130.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 93 and 38 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 6.24 to $1290.46 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.82% or 0.39 to hit $47.92 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.83% or 0.43 to trade at $52.09 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.18% to 7.7030, while USD/PHP fell 0.44% to 51.255.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.31.
