Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which rose 5.33% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.950 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 1.70% or 0.008 points to end at 0.480 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 1.61% or 0.100 points to 6.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 22.58% or 0.700 points to trade at 2.400 in late trade. Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) declined 9.09% or 0.150 points to end at 1.500 and PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) shed 7.14% or 0.01 points to 0.07.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.52% or 0.30 to $56.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.47% or 0.30 to hit $63.63 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 11.13 to trade at $1276.37 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.05% to 3.2430, while EUR/PEN fell 0.04% to 3.7757.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.29.
