Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 1.96% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.520 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) added 0.98% or 0.400 points to end at 41.400 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 0.88% or 0.040 points to 4.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 4.49% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.850 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 3.65% or 0.580 points to end at 15.310 and Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) shed 3.42% or 0.050 points to 1.410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 6 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.39% or 0.26 to $66.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $76.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1302.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.28% to 3.2625, while EUR/PEN fell 0.04% to 3.8470.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 93.56.
