Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 4.62% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) added 1.89% or 0.330 points to end at 17.800 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 0.41% or 0.050 points to 12.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which lost 7.07% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.09 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 6.02% or 0.130 points to end at 2.030 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 5.54% or 0.019 points to 0.324.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 4 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.51% or 0.29 to $57.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.01% or 0.65 to hit $63.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 5.12 to trade at $1276.48 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.16% to 3.2430, while EUR/PEN fell 0.11% to 3.7532.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.81.
