Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 3.85% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.485 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 1.32% or 0.010 points to end at 0.770 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) was up 0.94% or 0.160 points to 17.160 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 7.08% or 0.240 points to trade at 3.150 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 5.18% or 0.100 points to end at 1.830 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) shed 4.05% or 0.060 points to 1.420.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 12 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.09% or 1.57 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.60% or 1.48 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 6.06 to trade at $1279.26 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.20% to 3.2685, while EUR/PEN rose 0.55% to 3.8304.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.62.
