Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 9.09% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.1200 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 6.15% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 1.49% or 2.98 points to 203.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 5.13% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.110 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 4.21% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 3.80% or 0.030 points to 0.760.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.96% or 1.68 to $55.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.63% or 1.66 to hit $61.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.01 to trade at $1280.91 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.2428, while EUR/PEN rose 0.96% to 3.8140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.69% at 93.75.
