Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 5.17% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 2.90% or 0.110 points to end at 3.900 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was up 1.57% or 0.400 points to 25.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 6.35% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.590 in late trade. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 5.48% or 0.040 points to end at 0.690 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) shed 5.30% or 0.070 points to 1.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.49% or 0.34 to $68.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.00 to trade at $1207.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.2936, while EUR/PEN rose 0.42% to 3.8593.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 94.63.
