Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Edegel (LM:EDE), which rose 3.45% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.100 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 1.82% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.0560 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.72% or 0.040 points to 2.360 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 4.62% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.620 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 3.47% or 0.050 points to end at 1.390 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 2.78% or 0.020 points to 0.700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 8 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.41% or 0.28 to $68.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1222.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.15% to 3.2745, while EUR/PEN fell 0.18% to 3.8058.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.98.
