Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 1.22% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.415 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 0.54% or 0.001 points to end at 0.185 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 0.51% or 0.004 points to 0.790 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 5.24% or 0.130 points to trade at 2.350 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.28% or 0.020 points to end at 0.590 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 2.87% or 0.080 points to 2.710.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.34% or 0.23 to $66.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $71.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1220.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2683, while EUR/PEN fell 0.22% to 3.7814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 95.46.
