Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 3.77% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.750 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 2.87% or 0.060 points to end at 2.150 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 2.35% or 0.790 points to 34.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 4.51% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.127 in late trade. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 3.33% or 0.020 points to end at 0.580 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 3.16% or 0.030 points to 0.920.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 7 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.62% or 0.33 to $53.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $56.28 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.76% or 22.10 to trade at $1276.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2535, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4476.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 100.63.
