Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 4.46% or 0.170 points to trade at 3.980 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 4.44% or 1.85 points to end at 43.50 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 4.00% or 0.020 points to 0.520 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to trade at 0.0450 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.53% or 0.006 points to end at 0.164 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 3.27% or 0.070 points to 2.070.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.82% or 0.58 to $70.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $78.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.60 to trade at $1211.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.05% to 3.2993, while EUR/PEN rose 0.67% to 3.8818.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.69% at 93.47.
