Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.21% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 8.33% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.470 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 7.83% or 0.009 points to end at 0.124 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 7.14% or 0.015 points to 0.225 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 6.45% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.06 in late trade. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 3.75% or 0.0030 points to end at 0.0770 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) shed 3.45% or 0.220 points to 6.150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.21% or 0.10 to $47.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.25% or 0.13 to hit $52.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 7.59 to trade at $1329.79 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.06% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN fell 0.24% to 3.8417.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.82.
