Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 5.63% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.750 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 4.03% or 0.050 points to end at 1.290 and Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH) was up 2.78% or 0.050 points to 1.850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 6.59% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.255 in late trade. Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) declined 2.44% or 0.500 points to end at 20.000 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 1.74% or 0.020 points to 1.130.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.69% or 0.42 to $61.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.00% or 0.64 to hit $64.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 17.70 to trade at $1322.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.21% to 3.2565, while EUR/PEN rose 0.69% to 4.0132.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 89.92.
