Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 3.66% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.850 at the close. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) added 2.55% or 1.27 points to end at 51.00 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 2.40% or 0.050 points to 2.130 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intergroup (LM:IFS), which lost 3.10% or 1.300 points to trade at 40.700 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 2.63% or 0.020 points to end at 0.740 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) shed 1.14% or 0.030 points to 2.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 11 to 8 and 19 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.20% or 0.78 to $65.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $75.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.10 to trade at $1300.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.10% to 3.2670, while EUR/PEN fell 0.05% to 3.8331.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 93.85.
