Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 2.67% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.770 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 1.66% or 0.003 points to end at 0.184 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 0.53% or 0.040 points to 7.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 9.65% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.103 in late trade. Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM:AIH) declined 5.17% or 0.150 points to end at 2.750 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 3.70% or 0.020 points to 0.520.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.82% or 0.55 to $66.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $72.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1201.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.38% to 3.3000, while EUR/PEN fell 0.39% to 3.7313.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 96.55.
