Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 3.00% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.103 at the close. Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) added 1.63% or 0.020 points to end at 1.250 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 1.60% or 0.003 points to 0.190 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 4.00% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.200 in late trade. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) declined 3.51% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.0550 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 3.33% or 0.020 points to 0.580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 9 to 5 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.49% or 0.34 to $70.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.46% or 0.36 to hit $78.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1207.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.04% to 3.3066, while EUR/PEN rose 0.24% to 3.8410.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.07.
