Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.09% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 15.00% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.207 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 4.56% or 0.130 points to end at 2.980 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 3.45% or 0.020 points to 0.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which lost 1.03% or 0.110 points to trade at 10.590 in late trade. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 0.76% or 0.020 points to end at 2.620 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) shed 0.61% or 0.080 points to 13.050.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $50.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $55.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 13.99 to trade at $1311.21 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2470, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8754.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 91.81.
