Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Inversiones Centenario SAA (LM:ICE), which rose 15.00% or 0.450 points to trade at 3.450 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 8.00% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.1350 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was up 5.54% or 0.170 points to 3.240 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which lost 6.90% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.08 in late trade. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 3.73% or 0.060 points to end at 1.550 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 2.27% or 0.050 points to 2.150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 14 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.18% or 1.19 to $55.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.52% or 1.53 to hit $62.15 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.53% or 6.72 to trade at $1271.38 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 4.51% to 3.2455, while EUR/PEN fell 4.98% to 3.7673.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 94.83.
