Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Electricity and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minsur (LM:MINi), which rose 3.55% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.750 at the close. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) added 3.42% or 0.200 points to end at 6.050 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 1.82% or 0.010 points to 0.560 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which lost 13.33% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.0650 in late trade. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) declined 6.58% or 0.01 points to end at 0.07 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 2.56% or 0.020 points to 0.760.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 12 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.08% or 1.41 to $66.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.49% or 1.14 to hit $75.33 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 6.20 to trade at $1297.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2705, while EUR/PEN fell 0.30% to 3.8024.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.36.
