Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 3.85% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.540 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.73% or 0.420 points to end at 15.810 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.53% or 0.040 points to 2.660 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which lost 9.33% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.0680 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.79% or 0.005 points to end at 0.275 and Unacem (LM:CEL) shed 1.72% or 0.050 points to 2.850.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 14 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.32% or 0.23 to $72.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $79.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1290.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.41% to 3.2685, while EUR/PEN fell 0.49% to 3.8514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.51.
