Ora Banda Mining Ltd has appointed seasoned financial expert Doug Warden as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and joint company secretary, effective from August 28, 2024.
Warden has more than 30 years of experience in leading the finance functions of ASX-listed companies and most recently was CFO of Core Lithium Ltd.
In this capacity, he oversaw a $110 million equity raise to position Core with a strong balance sheet to navigate the soft lithium price environment.
Previous CFO roles
Before joining Core, Warden was the CFO at Resolute Mining Ltd and spent 13 years at Iluka Resources Ltd, where he held various executive roles including CFO and head of Resource Development.
He replaces Gareth Jones, who has decided to step down from the role effective from August 28, 2024, to pursue different opportunities and will complete a handover period until September 6, 2024.
Gareth Jones thanked
Ora Banda’s managing director Luke Creagh expressed gratitude to Jones for his contribution and dedication to Ora Banda over the last 18 months.

"We sincerely thank Gareth for his commitment to Ora Banda and wish him all the best for his future.
“We are delighted to welcome Doug to the team and I look forward to working with him to achieve our vision for Ora Banda to become a quality mid-tier mining company.”
