Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Auto & components and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 3.97% or 0.230 points to trade at 5.895 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 0.89% or 2.7 points to end at 306.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.85% or 0.58 points to 68.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 12.50% or 6.46 points to trade at 45.58 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.63% or 0.79 points to end at 16.16 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 4.31% or 1.71 points to 37.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 118 to 65 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.71% or 1.99 to $51.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.13% or 1.93 to hit $59.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.95 to trade at $1303.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.32% to 9.7354, while USD/NOK rose 0.04% to 8.5116.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 95.347.
