Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.29% or 1.32 points to trade at 32.10 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 2.24% or 5.6 points to end at 255.8 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was up 1.91% or 2.6 points to 138.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which lost 10.00% or 6.00 points to trade at 54.00 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 6.59% or 1.2 points to end at 17.0 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 5.52% or 0.10 points to 1.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 77 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.50% or 0.70 to $45.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.37% or 0.65 to hit $46.96 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1327.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 9.3601, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.4493.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 96.50.
