Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Transport and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 9.88% or 3.71 points to trade at 41.27 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 7.47% or 1.2 points to end at 17.6 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 6.03% or 0.46 points to 8.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 2.81% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.21 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 0.83% or 1.8 points to end at 216.0 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) shed 0.76% or 1.50 points to 197.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.86% or 1.00 to $54.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.55% or 0.87 to hit $57.05 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1237.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 8.8188, while USD/NOK rose 0.26% to 8.3599.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 101.36.
