Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Real Estate and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.69% or 6.5 points to trade at 182.7 at the close. Statoil ASA (OL:STL) added 3.14% or 5.3 points to end at 174.0 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 2.76% or 0.42 points to 15.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 3.34% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.40 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.66% or 0.02 points to end at 1.06 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 1.41% or 5.2 points to 364.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 85 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.31% or 0.76 to $57.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.67% or 1.08 to hit $63.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.90 to trade at $1240.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.56% to 9.8102, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 8.3680.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 94.17.
