Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Materials and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.78% or 1.30 points to trade at 23.80 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 4.28% or 5.7 points to end at 137.7 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 3.84% or 2.00 points to 54.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 27.79% or 2.42 points to trade at 6.28 in late trade. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 2.22% or 0.96 points to end at 42.30 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 2.03% or 4.4 points to 212.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 79 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.47% or 0.24 to $51.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.55% or 0.30 to hit $54.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 8.55 to trade at $1249.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.1708, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.6058.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.54.
