Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Energy and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.76% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.88% or 6.0 points to trade at 214.0 at the close. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) added 2.85% or 2.30 points to end at 83.10 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.23% or 3.20 points to 147.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.80% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.07 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 5.71% or 0.93 points to end at 15.35 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 3.79% or 2.75 points to 69.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 85 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.43% or 0.69 to $48.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.03% or 0.56 to hit $54.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.52 to trade at $1327.18 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.10% to 9.3868, while USD/NOK rose 0.68% to 7.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 92.36.
