Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Media and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.70% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 6.62% or 14.9 points to trade at 239.9 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 3.23% or 0.61 points to end at 19.52 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was up 2.12% or 3.3 points to 159.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 6.32% or 4.35 points to trade at 64.47 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.54% or 1.00 points to end at 63.80 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 1.33% or 0.15 points to 11.17.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 84 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.97% or 1.00 to $51.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.30% or 1.30 to hit $57.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 10.71 to trade at $1308.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.46% to 9.2799, while USD/NOK rose 0.43% to 7.8343.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 92.44.
