Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR), which rose 2.66% or 5.7 points to trade at 219.9 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.53% or 8.80 points to end at 356.00 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 1.89% or 1.0 points to 56.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which lost 3.49% or 1.98 points to trade at 54.80 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 3.06% or 0.02 points to end at 0.78 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 2.48% or 11.40 points to 448.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 92 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.71% or 0.53 to $73.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $78.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.80 to trade at $1258.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.46% to 9.4107, while USD/NOK fell 0.83% to 8.0458.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.09.
