Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.56% or 0.90 points to trade at 17.08 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 3.79% or 8.80 points to end at 241.10 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 3.67% or 1.9 points to 53.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 4.67% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.21 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.03% or 2.4 points to end at 231.5 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) shed 0.79% or 0.55 points to 69.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 85 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.68% or 1.33 to $50.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.81% or 1.01 to hit $56.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.38 to trade at $1293.38 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.04% to 9.3773, while USD/NOK fell 0.46% to 7.9466.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 93.07.
