Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which rose 2.43% or 3.3 points to trade at 139.0 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) added 1.06% or 0.72 points to end at 68.64 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 0.94% or 3.5 points to 377.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 2.47% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.65 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 0.78% or 0.80 points to end at 101.80 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 0.72% or 1.35 points to 185.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 82 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $68.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $78.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.50 to trade at $1207.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.49% to 9.5513, while USD/NOK fell 1.05% to 8.1713.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 94.06.
