Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 2.07% or 1.70 points to trade at 83.80 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 1.39% or 2.7 points to end at 197.4 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was up 1.34% or 2.0 points to 151.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which lost 2.95% or 0.95 points to trade at 31.29 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.58% or 0.95 points to end at 59.30 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 1.40% or 2.6 points to 183.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 81 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.52% or 0.30 to $57.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.60% or 0.38 to hit $63.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1295.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.66% to 9.7624, while USD/NOK rose 0.84% to 8.2230.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 93.10.
