Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Capital Goods, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.19% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 4.16% or 0.68 points to trade at 17.03 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 3.80% or 2.60 points to end at 71.10 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 0.86% or 0.50 points to 58.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.62% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.06 in late trade. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 3.15% or 1.09 points to end at 33.51 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 2.63% or 6.0 points to 222.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 78 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.72% or 0.86 to $50.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.85% or 1.02 to hit $56.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.21 to trade at $1315.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.3680, while USD/NOK rose 0.12% to 7.8075.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 91.53.
