Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Transport and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 2.24% or 1.90 points to trade at 86.70 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 1.83% or 0.72 points to end at 39.96 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) was up 1.74% or 1.60 points to 93.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 2.64% or 7.8 points to trade at 287.2 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.12% or 0.02 points to end at 0.81 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 1.35% or 0.64 points to 46.68.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 66 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.41% or 0.28 to $68.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.38% or 0.28 to hit $72.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 11.80 to trade at $1216.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.69% to 9.5756, while USD/NOK rose 1.01% to 8.2524.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 95.27.
