Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Auto & components and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.41% or 14.1 points to trade at 333.6 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 3.47% or 3.30 points to end at 98.50 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 2.73% or 11.40 points to 428.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 1.70% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.78 in late trade. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 1.49% or 5.4 points to end at 358.0 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) shed 0.66% or 0.46 points to 68.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 86 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.88% or 1.29 to $69.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.34% or 0.98 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1217.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.27% to 9.5253, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 8.2423.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 95.20.
