Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Utilities and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.13% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 8.88% or 19.0 points to trade at 233.0 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 6.34% or 0.07 points to end at 1.14 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 5.15% or 0.79 points to 16.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 3.07% or 0.38 points to trade at 12.00 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 2.50% or 2.00 points to end at 77.90 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 1.62% or 6.10 points to 369.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 88 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.66% or 0.82 to $50.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.89% or 0.49 to hit $55.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.98 to trade at $1329.98 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.29% to 9.3921, while USD/NOK rose 0.26% to 7.9008.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.28.
